Het TV station WABC TV besteedde die avond natuurlijk aandacht aan de switch en maakte een item van de laatste minuten als music radio station. Voor de fans ging de avond de geschiedenis in als &#8220;the day the music died&#8221;, Hmmm, waar hebben we dat eerder gehoord? WABC fan Jon Wolfert, directeur van jingleproducent JAM Creative Productions in Dallas, zette het item vandaag op Youtube. Omdat het precies 26 jaar geleden is.
