De Amerikaanse jingleschrijver Tom Merriman componeert een commercial voor het bekende cosmeticamerk <a onclick=\"javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('\/outgoing\/www.biography.com\/business-leaders\/mary-kay-ash');\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.biography.com\/business-leaders\/mary-kay-ash\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mary Kaye<\/a>, getiteld Now there is Mary Kaye. Hij doet dat onder de vlag van zijn bedrijf CRC Commercial Recording Corporation. Mary Kaye en Tom Merriman hebben minstens twee overeenkomsten: ze wonen er werken allebei vanuit Dallas, Texas.<br \/>Merriman besluit niet lang na de Mary Kaye productie een nieuw bedrijf op te richten, dat zijn initialen draagt: TM Productions, gevestigd op 9701 Noel Page building in Dallas.<br \/><br \/>De commercial voor Mary Kaye doet het goed. H\u00e9\u00e9l goed. Z\u00f3 goed, dat de leiding van het radiostation WKBW in Buffalo (New York) besluit om Tom Merriman vanuit zijn kersverse bedrijf te vragen er een heel jinglepakket van te laten maken. Op dezelfde melodie. En zo ontstaat Now radio comes alive. De jingles worden ingespeeld door muzikanten van de Larry Elgart Band, een destijds bekende dans- en big band-act. De opnamen zijn in de Delta Recording Center in Dallas, want TM Productions had in de beginperiode nog geen eigen studio. Ene John D. Maxson was de eigenaar van de studio. En om het verhaal n\u00f3g meer jingle-facts te geven: John D. Maxson was mede-eigenaar van een ander jinglebedrijf in Dallas: Spot Productions. Ja, in Dallas draaide (en draait) heel veel om jingles.<br \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure
