Het station zelf had niet eens veel geldelijke waarde, blijkt uit de verkoopoverzichten: voor de studio aan de Redwood Causeway betaalde de koper 3,2 miljoen, voor de zendmast zo&#8217;n 125.000 dollar en de rest was voor de FCC vergunning en de goodwill die het station in al die jaren opbouwde. Het geinige is dat WLNG nog steeds vasthoudt aan de oude personality formule, met veel jingles van PAMS en veel zelfpromotie. De jingles die ze in de jaren tachtig lieten maken bij ben Freedman schallen nog steeds over Long Island.
