De Bahama&#8217;s, die er zelfs op luchtfoto&#8217;s hartverscheurend mooi uit zien. Het is een archipel (eilandengroep) van 700 eilanden en 2.000 zand- of koraalplaten, die ligt in de Atlantische Oceaan, ten oosten van de Amerikaanse staat Florida, ten noorden van Cuba en Ha\u00efti. Officieel is de naam Het Gemenebest van de Bahama&#8217;s. Het is een onafhankelijk, Engelstalig land in het Cara\u00efbisch gebied. De naam is afgeleid van het Spaans Baja Mar (= ondiepe zee). Op de jingles is hoorbaar een hoofdrol weggelegd voor de bongo&#8217;s, wat de jingles een hoog zonnig karakter meegeeft. Ze zijn zowel ingezongen voor Nassau als ook voor de 2e stad van het eiland, New Providence.<br \/>\nEnkele cuts uit deze serie verschenen ook op de 4-elpee-box &#8220;The world of medium wave radio stations\u201d, uitgekomen bij\u00a0Jumbo Records in 1977. Je weet wellicht wel, de elpee met de <a onclick=\"javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('\/outgoing\/www.discogs.com\/Various-The-World-Of-Medium-Wave-Radio-Stations\/release\/6447413');\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.discogs.com\/Various-The-World-Of-Medium-Wave-Radio-Stations\/release\/6447413\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">openklaphoes<\/a> vol met radiostickers. Die 4 elpees bevatten jingles van over de hele wereld, en ook van\u00a0Radio Bahama&#8217;s dus. De hele set kwam uit op de CD\u00a0Around the world van Ken R. De vrolijkste jingles vinden wij &#8220;Only the sun covers the Bahama&#8217;s better than Radio Bahama&#8217;s&#8221;, die in enkele uitvoeringen te horen is in de set.
