Deutsch. Jingleverzamelaar, DJ, tekstschrijver, columnist en later producent van jingles. In 1977 begon hij zijn eigen jinglebedrijf: Ken R. Music., in 1980 omgedoopt tot Ken R. Inc. Hij werkte vanuit een gebouw in Toledo, Ohio, waar hij de instrumentale tracks opnam. De jingles liet hij inzingen in bevriende studio\u2019s in Dallas, zoals die van JAM-baas Jon Wolfert.<br \/>\nIn 1980 kon hij de failliete bandenboedel kopen van het legendarische jinglebedrijf PAMS: 3500 originele banden met de fameuze jingles uit de jaren \u201960 en een beetje \u201970. Toen hij aan het digitaliseren sloeg, bleek het te gaan om 400 DAT\u2019s van 2 uur elk.<br \/>\nOok sloot hij in die jaren contracten af met Anita Kerr, Johnny Mann, TM, CRC, Futursonic, Spot jingles, Pepper Tanner en andere jinglebedrijven, waarvan een deel blij was dat er \u00fcberhaupt iemand in hun werk was ge\u00efnteresseerd. Tussen najaar 1996 en mei 2005 verkocht hij vele exemplaren van de CD\u2019s aan zo\u00b4n 1200 vaste klanten over de hele wereld met \u00e9\u00e9n gemeenschappelijk gekte: jingles. Ook koffiemokken, T-shirts en andere jinglegadgets gingen over de digitale toonbank.<br \/>\nIn mei 2005 kondigde Ken zijn jinglepensioen aan. Gezongen op een geweldige PAMS-track.<br \/>\nEn hoe het met het hoofdkwartier van Ken R. in Toledo aan de Madison Avenue gaat? Wel, kijk zelf. Links het gebouw in 2005 (toen Ken R het verliet), daarnaast in 2016, hier rechts de situatie vanuit de lucht\u00a0(foto&#8217;s Google.). Het pand is als enige in het blok behouden gebleven. Dat is goed te zien als je klikt op de foto om deze te vergroten. E\u00e9n zuchtje oostenwind, en een gewiekste projectontwikkelaar kan het hele blok opnieuw bebouwen met peperdure panden.
