Alles is groter. Het spreekwoord luidt niet voor niets: <em>Big, bigger Texas!<\/em> Dat zie je ook terug in de stijl waarmee de jinglemaatschappijen al sinds 1951 jingles maken: zelfbewust en vol overtuigingskracht. En moet het in het Duits of Spaans, dan doen we dat toch ook wel eventjes! \u00a0Gewoon is niet gek genoeg. Die stijl zit zelfs in een menukaart. Bij TM Studios wordt veel gedaan met het werk van Chris &#8216;UK&#8217; Stevens, een Engelsman in hart en nieren. Iemand die zich met een frisse verbazing op de cultuur in Texas stort. Op zijn Facebookpagina&#8217;s attendeerde hij ons op een fenomeen dat alleen in Texas bestaat, de zogeheten 32-Oz Steak. Bij elk steakrestaurant dat zichzelf respecteert staat-ie op de kaart. 32 oz is de ouderwetse gewichtsaanduiding en staat voor ounces. En omgerekend in gewichten die we hier kennen is het &#8230;&#8230;. 907 gram. Bijna een kilo aan biefstuk.
