Alfredo was befaamd in de jaren vijftig en zestig. Hoewel hij reeds in 1976 overleed, is zijn stijl kennelijk nog zo&#8217;n gemeengoed dat Parkline dit jaar STER-spotjes in de Willy Alfredo-stijl liet maken. Gek wel, zelfs in de toptijd van de roem was het namelijk al ontstellend oubollig. Dat m\u00f3est je gewoon nadoen, het schreeuwde erom. In de jaren zestig was z&#8217;n pianist een tijd lang Dick Harris. Die schrijft in zijn boek &#8216;Taxi naar het paradijs&#8217; dat er na &#8216;Roept U maar&#8217; in de zaal &#8216;De Quay&#8217;werd geroepen, de naam van de gloednieuwe minister-president.
