WLS is een bekend voorbeeld. WABC ook. Minder bekend is de uitstekende website over het station WGH in een plaats genaamd Newport News, Old Virginia, aan de oostkust van de Verenigde Staten. Er is veel te beleven, ook voor liefhebbers van jingles. Foto&#8217;s, airchecks, en vooral ook &#8211; keurig op een rij &#8211; alle jinglepakketten die het station in de loop der jaren heeft gekocht. Eerst nog bij Futursonic (Pacemaker en Kwik Idees) en Anita Kerr, maar al snel stapte het station naar PAMS, het jinglebedrijf bij uitstek in die jaren. En zo werden achtereenvolgens de series 18, 22, 26 tot en met 30, 32, 34, 35, 37, 38, en 40 aangeschaft in de periode 1961 &#8211; 1971. De PAMS reeks eindigt met de set Solid Rock, gekocht in 1971. En zoals dat zo vaak gaat, het station had verandering nodig, en stapte dan ook eerst naar jinglemaker Joseph P. Cuff (Image 1), en tot slot naar TM Productions (Synergy). En al die pakketten zijn ook op de site te <a onclick=\"javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('\/outgoing\/www.alohanews.com\/jingles.htm');\"  href=\"http:\/\/www.alohanews.com\/jingles.htm\" target=\"_blank\">horen<\/a>!!\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Leuk te lezen is ook, dat het audiologo in de jingles van WGH is gebaseerd op het traditionele Carry Me Back To Old Virginia, een ode aan de eigen streek, al stapte het station in 1972 over op het overbekende WLS logo (in Nederland jarenlang gebruikt door Omroep Brabant).<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>05.05.2013 &#8211; Op internet staan talloze websites die zijn gewijd aan \u00e9\u00e9n radiostation.
