\"\"<\/a>April 2009<\/strong>– Legendary were the jingles that PAMS (\u2018Production Advertising Merchandising Service\u2019) produced in their modest building in Dallas, Texas. Everyone in radio knew that if you wanted to make your station a success, you should buy jingles from this famous company at 4141Office Parkway. Pop ship Radio London had set the example in Europe too. They arrived in 1964, were followed by Radio England and Britain Radio, and all had PAMS jingles aboard. Later, public broadcasters NCRV, TROS and Veronica followed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s PAMS like you probably have never heard it before. If you want to hear PAMS as it should be done, just listen to the company that knows how to do it – www.pams.com. Happy jingling!\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

1. PAMS – NCRV 1975<\/strong> (a resing of PAMS KNBR-custom and PAMS # 31 Music Explosion). For years the Dutch only heard PAMS jingles in illegal edits on their radios. And now, for the first time, there was actually a Dutch customer. 14:05.<\/p>\n

2 & 3 Jaap Eggermont – TROS \u2018PAMS\u2019 – package 1976<\/strong> (derived from PAMS # 40 Changes, #41 Music Radio, # 42 The Igniters and # 43 Textures). In 1976 the TROS radio filled one day a week on the national pop channel Hilversum III.<\/p>\n

4 & 5 Mike Eisler – Radio Paradijs 1981<\/strong> (Resing PAMS series 49a \u2013 The Modulators).<\/p>\n

The expensive jingles they\u2019d bought were never used. Because police seized the ship on August 1st, 1981, after just two test broadcasts. Track 4 demo 3:27<\/p>\n

6. Standard Sound & Toby Arnold \u2013 MFMC (\u2018Music for Marlboro Country\u2019)<\/strong> 1988 (resings PAMS cuts # 27 Jet set and # 28 Happiness is). Jingles made for the tobacco-sponsored show of Bennie Brown on Cable One.:12<\/p>\n

7. Ben Freedman – Radio Veronica 1994 <\/strong>(resing PAMS cuts series # 18 Sonosational, # 27 Jet set, # 29 Go go, # 31 Music explosion, # 33 Fun Vibrations & # 37 Power play).
\nRecorded in the former TM studios on 1349 Regal Row Dallas on 13th March 1994. 4:45<\/p>\n

8. Ben Freedman – Radio Veronica – Session outtakes 1994.\"\"<\/a><\/strong>
\nSoundtrack of a video recording made by Ad Bouman, the Veronica producer who supervised the session. 4:51<\/p>\n

9. Top Format \u2013 Radio 10 – Top Gold 1<\/strong> (custom package 1995). The copyrights of PAMS packages still weren\u2019t settled, so Top Format decided to make some PAMS-styled jingles themselves for Radio 10 Gold. 2:32<\/p>\n

10. Top Format \u2013 Radio 10 – Top Gold II<\/strong> (custom package 1996). Also known as More Gold. Same concept, but slightly more PAMS. 1:45<\/p>\n

11. Top Format \u2013 Radio 10 – PAMS jingles 1997.<\/strong> (Resing series # 29 Go go). At last the PAMS copyrights were settled and Radio 10 decided to order the \u2018real thing\u2019. 16:07<\/p>\n

12. BONUS 1 – Listen and compare.
\nIs it PAMS, is it TROS or is it Top Format \u2013 or something in between? Listen and compare. The originals are followed by some rather special cuts from TROS and Top Format. 5:42<\/p>\n

April 2009- Legendarisch waren de jingles die PAMS (\u2018Production Advertising Merchandising Service\u2019) produceerde in haar moderne studio\u2019s in Dallas, Texas. Iedereen in de radiobusiness wist dat, als je je radiostation tot een succes wilde maken, je wel jingles m\u00f3est kopen bij het bedrijf aan de Office Parkway 4141.<\/span><\/p>\n

Zeezender Radio London was in 1964 de eerste in Europa. Swinging Radio England en Britain Radio volgden. Ook zij namen PAMS jingles aan boord. Jaren later volgden de Nederlandsen omroepen. Eerst NCRV, later TROS en meer. Op deze CD hoor je zeldzame Nederlandse resings van PAMS jingles door-de-jaren-heen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Inhoud van de CD:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

1. PAMS – NCRV 1975 (resing van PAMS KNBR-custom en PAMS serie 31 Music Explosion). Jarenlang waren er in Nederland alleen de verknipte PAMS jingles te horen via de zeezenders. Nota bene de NCRV was de eerste echte Nederlandse klant van PAMS, 14:05.<\/span><\/p>\n

2 & 3 Jaap Eggermont – TROS \u2018PAMS\u2019 \u2013 pakket 1976 (resing van PAMS serie 40 Changes, serie 41 Music Radio, serie 42 The Igniters en serie 43 Textures).
\ngemaakt voor de programma\u2019s op Hilversum III onder de gezamenlijke noemer TROS donderdag en de andere TROS programma\u2019s op de andere radiozenders.<\/span><\/p>\n

4 & 5 Mike Eisler – Radio Paradijs 1981 (resing PAMS serie 49a \u2013 The Modulators).
\nRadio Paradijs is zonder twijfel het radiostation met de meeste pech. Na twee testuitzending maakte de politie op 1 augustus 1981 een abrupt einde aan de uitzendingen. De dure jingles werden nooit gebruikt.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nJingles gemaakt voor de Bennie Brown Show op Cable One, gesponsord door tabaksfabrikant Marlboro. Binnen het jaar moest het station stopppen, 2:12<\/span><\/p>\n

7. Ben Freedman – Radio Veronica 1994 (resing van PAMS cuts uit serie serie 18 Sonosational, serie 27 Jet set, serie 29 Go go, serie 31 Music explosion, serie 33 Fun Vibrations & serie 37 Power play).
\nOpgenomen in de voormalige TM studio\u2019s aan de Regal Row 1349 in Dallas op 13 maart 1994. Geproduceerd door Ben Freedman. Op deze unieke demo staan alle cuts, 4:45<\/span><\/p>\n

8. Ben Freedman – Radio Veronica \u2013sessie 1994.
\nUnieke soundtrack van de video opnamen gemaakt door Veronica producer Ad Bouman tijdens de opnamesessie. Hij is de man die aan het begin van de video zegt \u201cHij doet \u2018t\u201d. Ben Freedman hoor je tegen de arriverende jinglezangers zeggen: \u201cWe\u2019ve got a hot session going out tonight here\u201d, 4:51<\/span><\/p>\n

9. Top Format \u2013 Radio 10 – Top Gold 1 (custom package 1995).
\nRadio 10 Gold had jingles nodig die pasten bij het oldies format. Top Format in Haarlem besloot zelf PAMS sound-a-like jingles te maken, omdat het met de rechten van de PAMS jingles nog steeds niet was geregeld, 2:32<\/span><\/p>\n

10. Top Format \u2013 Radio 10 – Top Gold II (custom package 1996).
\nOok wel bekend als More Gold. Zelfde concept als Top Gold I, maar dan n\u00f3g meer PAMS, 1:45<\/span><\/p>\n

11. Top Format \u2013 Radio 10 – PAMS jingles 1997. (Resing serie 29 Go go).
\nEindelijk waren de PAMS copyrights geregeld en kon Radio 10 Gold de \u00e9chte PAMS jingles bestellen. Luister naar de fantastische backing tracks, geremixed van mono naar stereo, 16:07<\/span><\/p>\n

12. BONUS 1 \u2013 Luister en vergelijk: is het PAMS, is het TROS of is het Top Format? De originele PAMS jingles en hun sound-a-likes, 5:42<\/span><\/p>\n
